The Mont-Blanc Tram makes it possible to reach both
the fantastic universe of the high mountains and also the more accessible
one of the medium mountains.
Mountain biking
In summer, mountain-bikers can go up by train and enjoy
fully the descents on both sides, towards Chamonix or towards Saint-Gervais. Caution : Access to the Tram for mountain-bikes

Suggested rambles
Starting from Bellevue at 1794 m : Col
de Volza – 1653 m (about 2 hours) – easy.
Pretty descent through the hamlets of Bionnassay (1314 m) and Bionnay
(952 m). Col du Tricot – 2120
m (about 2 hours) - easy.
Starting from the Nid d'Aigle at 2372m : Descent
to Bellevue – 1794 m (about 1 ½ hours) - easy. Bionnassay glacier – 2400 m (about
1 hour) – easy.
Short ride with fine view of the glacier. Refuge
de Tête Rousse (Shelter of Tête Rousse) 3167 m
(about 2 ½ hours) – advanced.
(Caution : this ride passes a glacier, equipment
and guide recommended).
Long ascent in a mineral world. The shelter overhangs the Bionnassay
glacier, whose crevasses and seracs one can admire. This very popular
route is considered to be a high-mountain route.
Mountaineering
Mountaineers take the train to the Refuge du Goûter (shelter),
the last stop before the ascent of Mont-Blanc.
Each summer, tourists from all over the world come here to admire
the mountaineers linked by ropes setting off for the Roof of Europe.
