Train du Montenvers Mer de Glace

It has been running since 1908 and carries passengers up to Montenvers, just by the edge of the highly celebrated Mer de Glace. With more than a million passengers every year, it is one of the valley’s major centres of attraction. In 2008, the little red train celebrated its hundredth anniversary.

L’Aiguille du Midi

From the centre of Chamonix, 1035 m, the Aiguille du Midi cable car will take you into the world of the high mountains at 3842 m. A unique 360° view over Mont Blanc and the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.

Tramway du Mont-Blanc

The Mont-Blanc Tramway winds its way through alpine pastures to Bellevue, offering a unique and impressive view over the Aiguilles de Chamonix and the Dômes de Miage. Setting out from le Fayet, it climbs from 580 m to 1800 m. In winter, the Mont-Blanc Tramway stops at the Bellevue plateau to allow skiers direct access to the ski area of les Houches.
