When purchasing your lift pass, you are given the opportunity to take the "insurance" option, which provides the main guarantees for snowsports risks and notably : - rescue and transport (cost of rescue and search due to the intervention of porfessionals in order to rescue or earch a wounded person in the mountains, see Chamonix's tariff on the right) - ski passes refunding (unused mechanical skilift passes and ski lessons) along with other guarantees. What to do in the event of an accident : On the ski area, call the rescue team : a ski patroller will provide first aid service and will organise your transport to a consulting room or a hospital. You will be given a reimbursement form which will be useful for your insurance claim.
