  Summer timetables from 15th May to 30th November

On this page you will find time-tables of every site for the summer season, from May 15th to November 30th. For winter time-tables, from Dec 1st to May 14th of each year, click here.

Timetables and the frequency of departures vary according to the time of year and level of demand. Consult the timetables below and the notes refering  to the date of your visit. For direct access to a specific site, click on the following links :

     Organise your visit :
- the trip on the train lasts 25 minutes (one way)
- the total visit (grotto included) lasts 2-3 hours on average (train included), it can be twice as much on peak days
- look at the map of the site 
- Is the site open today?

  • Summer 2010 : the Montenvers train is open all year round, apart from  a 2-week closure in October 2010 (from 3rd October, evening  to 15th October, inlcuded 2010). 
  • Ice cave and gondola are closed a couple of weeks in the Spring for the preparation of the ice cave, usually from end of May to early June (dates in stand by)- reopening according to security works in progress)  and from October 3 to December 18th  2010).

 Aiguille du Midi cable-car

 

       Organise your visit :
- the cable-car trip to Aiguille du Midi lasts 20 minutes (one way)
- the total visit (grotto included) lasts 2-3 hours on average (train included), it can be twice as much on peak days
- look at the map of the site
 - Is the site open today? (live update)  

  • The Aiguille du Midi cable-car site is open throughout SPRING and SUMMER, until November 1st 2010, inclusive (then closed for a month about)
  • The Mont-Blanc Panoramic, between the top of Aiguille du Midi and Helbronner is open from May 28th (to be confirmed) to September 19th 2010.

Panoramic Mont-Blanc telecabin

The Panoramic Mont-Blanc telecabin has departure times distinct from those of Aiguille du Midi cable car. You will find below all the details.
Beware : do not confuse departure "from Chamonix" (tells you when to take the cable car from Chamonix to catch the first gondola on the Panoramic Mont-blanc) and departure "from Aiguille du Midi" (= first departure in the morning on the gondola, at the top of Aiguille du Midi)

Tramway du Mont-Blanc

  •  Summer 2010 : the Tramway du Mont-Blanc is open from Saturday 13th June to Sunday 20th September 2009.
  • Timetables and frequency of the departures  vary according to the time of the year and demand. Please look at the table  relating to the date of your visit.

- 2 main departures : le Fayet or Saint-Gervais
- the trip on  the train lasts  50 minutes about until Bellevue and 1h15 until Nid d'Aigle.
