Introduction to your journey

Leaving the centre of Chamonix,  the Montenvers rack and pinion railway gives you the opportunity to reach the foot of the Mer de Glace (1913 m) in just 20 minutes in total comfort and safety. The view of one of the biggest glaciers of the Alps is a must!
